Voluntary Climate Initiatives and Effective City Climate Action
This co-creation workshop will focus on voluntary climate initiatives and urban governance—how city-led programmes set rules, mobilise participants, and drive implementation beyond formal regulation. We are discussing different design features of initiatives (membership rules, monitoring, knowledge sharing), policy linkages, and outcomes (e.g. renewable energy). The workshop is organised in the context of ACHIEVE, a Horizon Europe project that aims to strengthen and scale up high-integrity voluntary climate action towards achieving net-zero emissions by mid-century.
