Internal Workshop - Stakeholder engagement platform

ACHIEVE aims to develop a platform for stakeholder engagement, which will present actionable results on opportunities to strengthen and scale up high-integrity voluntary climate action. Additionally, the work packages' data, assumptions, and outcomes will be synthesized and integrated into the platform. 

On the 3rd of July 2024 we started to design the ACHIEVE stakeholder engagement platform.

Interaction with and participation of stakeholders throughout the project will be mediated by a social network-like stakeholder engagement platform that aims to: (i) build a community of peers; (ii) provide an insiders’ view to the research process; (iii) share and disseminate findings and new understandings as they emerge; (iv) capture stakeholder knowledge and insights efficiently and integrate them in project research and deliverables; and (v) build capacities through knowledge and interaction. 

This platform will go beyond data sharing or dissemination as it will support a multi-way communication process, promote the translation of global climate and sustainability goals to the local or sectoral mitigation agenda, and include training opportunities for different actors. The platform will be co-created with project stakeholders to ensure its usefulness and usability and will be developed as much as possible based on open-source code and open-access modules. While the inclusive platform will be created to support the goals of this project, we will also include recommendations for its expansion and growth beyond ACHIEVE to further ensure its legacy
